Get the bowl of your stand mixer and place sugar, water and kosher salt then sprinkle the yeast on top. Mix well and sit for 5 minutes. Add in the butter and flour then continue mixing on low speed. Once combined, increase the speed into medium and knead the dough for about 4-5 minutes. Place dough in an oiled bowl and cover it with plastic wrap and set aside for about 50 minutes. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Get a baking sheet and line it with parchment paper and brush it with vegetable oil. Divide dough into 8 equal pieces. Afterwards, stretch out the dough into rope of about 12 inches long. Wrap the piece of dough around the hotdog. Leave the ends of the hotdog peeking out from the pretzel. Place pretzel into boiling water for 30 seconds. Do this one at a time. Remove dough from water using a slotted spoon. Place the dough back into the baking sheet and brush egg wash on top then season with salt. Arrange the dough in a way that they will not touch each other. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes. Allow to cool for 5 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

Pretzel Bites With Cheese Sauce

Here is a way on how to make pretzels dough: Place water, sugar, butter and yeast in the bowl of your stand mixer. Mix well and allow to stand for 5 minutes. Add in flour and salt and mix on low speed. Once combined, increase speed to medium and knead until the dough is smooth. Remove dough from bowl and put it in a flat surface and knead into a ball. Get a bowl and oil it with vegetable oil. Place the dough and turn in order to coat it with oil. Cover with plastic wrap and set aside for an hour. Afterwards, preheat your oven to 425 degrees. As you wait for the oven, Place water in a pan over high heat and allow to boil then add the baking soda. Get the dough and place it on a flat surface. Divide dough into 8 pieces. Roll out the dough to a long rope and then cut it into 1-inch bites. Put pretzel bites in the boiling water. Do this in batches. Use a large slotted spoon to remove the bites. Spray cooking oil into a baking sheet and arrange the boiled bites in it. Brush the dough with egg wash. Season with salt. Bake for 15-18 minutes. For the cheese dip: place sauce pan over medium heat and melt the butter. Add in flour and cook for a minute. Whisk in milk and cook until it thickens. Remove pan from heat and add in cheddar cheese. Continue stirring until cheese has melted. Season with pepper and salt to taste.

Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Mix melted butter, crushed pretzels and 3 tablespoons of sugar and spread it out evenly in your baking sheet. Bake the mixture for 10 minutes. Allow to cool for a while. Afterwards, divide the mixture into three trifle dishes and flatten in out in one single layer. Get a medium mixing bowl and put cream cheese, ¾ cup of powdered sugar and whipping topping then beat until smooth. Divide it again into the trifle dishes and spread it out. Dissolve the Jell-o and in boiling water in a separate bowl. Add in the strawberries and the crushed pineapple. Divide again into the three trifle dishes. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for three hours. Place whipped topping on top.
